These Supplemental Terms to the Agreement (“Supplemental Terms”) apply to your use and access of Cribl AI (defined below). The Supplemental Terms form a part of the Agreement (defined below) between you individually or the business entity or public agency on whose behalf you are accepting these terms (“Customer,” “you,” or “your”) and Cribl, Inc. (“Cribl,” “we,” or “us”). Any capitalized term used but not defined in these Supplemental Terms has the meaning set forth in your Agreement. In the event of a conflict between these Supplemental Terms and your Agreement, these Supplemental Terms will control.
These Supplemental Terms are accepted by: (1) indicating acceptance of these terms by enabling one or all of Cribl AI; or (2) accessing or using any portion of Cribl AI.
You represent that you: (a) are an employee, contractor, or agent of, and have the authority to represent Customer; and (b) have read and understand all the provisions of these Supplemental Terms. If Customer does not wish to accept these Supplemental Terms, or you do not have authority to bind Customer to these Supplemental Terms, then do not click or sign to accept these Supplemental Terms or access or use Cribl AI.
Definitions.
“Agreement” means the agreement that governs your use of the Subscription Services, such as Cribl’s Subscription Services Agreement, or a signed master subscription agreement between you and Cribl.
“Cribl AI” means the designated offerings and features made available by Cribl to you that utilize Foundation Models and Model Providers.
“BYOM” is the ability to connect a third-party large language model (LLM) on the backend to Cribl AI features, as further described in the Documentation.
“Cribl Core Technology” means the Subscription Services, Documentation, Cribl’s websites, Packs offered by Cribl, other software, technology and methodologies created by or for, or licensed to, Cribl and any updates to, or derivative works or extensions of, the foregoing.
“Documentation” means the then-current product documentation published by Cribl at https://docs.cribl.io/ for each version of the Subscription Services as may be updated from time to time.
“Foundation Model” means a large pre-trained artificial intelligence model trained on broad datasets and capable of supporting multiple downstream tasks, including models developed by Cribl or licensed from Model Providers that power Cribl AI.
“Input” means any text, prompts, or other queries you provide to Cribl AI.
“Intellectual Property Rights” or “IPR” means all intellectual property and proprietary rights worldwide, including patent, trademark, service mark, copyright, trade secret, know-how, moral right, and any other intellectual and intangible property rights, and all continuations, continuations in part, applications, renewals, and extensions of any of the foregoing.
“Law” means any applicable law, rule, statute, decree, decision, order, regulation, judgment, code and requirement of any government authority (federal, state, local, or international) having jurisdiction.
“Model Provider” means the following providers of Foundation Models for Cribl AI: Azure OpenAI via Microsoft Foundry and Anthropic via Amazon Bedrock.
“Output” means data generated and returned by Cribl AI based on your Input.
“Third-Party Components” means third-party Packs, products, services, and other software, including BYOM.
“Usage Data” means metrics and other telemetry data derived from the operation of the Subscription Services, including the diagnostic bundle described in the Documentation, collected by Cribl.
Restrictions. With respect to Cribl AI, you will not (and will not permit others to): (a) violate the terms of your Agreement or these Supplemental Terms; (b) violate the Model Provider policies, including, without limitation, Code of Conduct for Azure OpenAI Service and AWS Responsible AI Policy; (c) submit Inputs that violate any privacy rights or applicable Law, or that infringe, violate, or misappropriate any IPR; or (d) engage in any use of Cribl AI that is prohibited or considered “high-risk” under applicable Law.
Compliance with Law. Cribl will provide Cribl AI in accordance with its obligations under Laws applicable to Cribl’s provision of Cribl AI to its customers generally without regard to Customer’s particular use of Cribl AI and subject to Customer’s use of Cribl AI in accordance with these Supplemental Terms. Customer will comply with Laws applicable to its use of Cribl AI.
Warranties; Disclaimers. Output generated by Cribl AI may be inaccurate. All Output produced by Cribl AI should be carefully reviewed. Notwithstanding anything to the contrary in your Agreement, Cribl does not make any warranty regarding the availability, uptime, performance, or accuracy of Cribl AI, or that Cribl AI and the resulting Output will otherwise conform to the specifications described in the Documentation.
Intellectual Property. As between you and Cribl, and to the extent permitted by applicable law and subject to the terms of the Agreement, you retain all ownership or license rights in Inputs and Outputs. Notwithstanding the foregoing, as between the parties, Cribl and its licensors exclusively own all right, title, and interest, including all IPR, in the Cribl Core Technology and any improvements thereto. Except for the rights and licenses expressly granted in these Supplemental Terms, Cribl, on behalf of itself and its licensors, reserves all rights in the Cribl Core Technology.
Privacy.
Model Providers. Cribl does not use, or permit Model Providers or others to use, Input or other Customer Data to train or fine-tune Foundation Models.
Improving Cribl AI. Subject to any restrictions expressly included in the Documentation, Cribl may process Inputs and Outputs to provide, maintain, and improve Cribl AI. The foregoing excludes certain sensitive Inputs, such as log data samples, search results, and dataset samples, which are not used to improve Cribl AI.
Usage Data. Notwithstanding anything to the contrary in the Agreement, by accessing Cribl AI, you agree that your Usage Data may be shared with Cribl.
Exclusions. To the extent Customer uses BYOM, these Supplemental Terms will not apply. BYOM shall be considered a Third-Party Component as defined in these Supplemental Terms.
Suspension. Cribl may, in its sole discretion, immediately suspend Customer’s right to access or use any portion of Cribl AI or terminate the Supplemental Terms if Cribl determines, acting reasonably and in good faith, that Customer’s continued use of Cribl AI: (a) poses an imminent and material security risk to Cribl’s systems (including Cribl AI) or any third party data therein; (b) to the extent in an unauthorized manner, will subject Cribl, Cribl Affiliates, any Cribl customers or third party contractors used to provide Cribl AI, to imminent and material liability; or (c) violates the Law.
Modifications. Occasionally, we may need to add, update, or remove terms to reflect our current Cribl AI offerings, so please review this page periodically.
